About Us

For more than 30-years, Traders Village has offered millions of guests a little piece of Americana; a glimpse back to a time when small businesses were the norm and haggling with the shop owner brought great bargains.

Known nationally as America's largest weekend flea marketplace, the original Traders Village opened in Grand Prairie in 1973. Houston's Traders Village followed in 1989 bringing terrific values and entertainment to the Texas Gulf Coast. Today the combined markets host more than 5,500,000 shoppers and festival-goers each year.

From trinkets and trash, to treasures and trends, like they say, "if you can't find it at Traders Village, you didn't need it in the first place!"

Our events are consistently ranked among the best in Texas. In Grand Prairie visitors will find festivals such as the National Championship American Indian Pow Wow and the Prairie Dog Chili Cook-off. Houston's guests are regularly treated to special events such as the Bayou City Cajun Festival, Boo Bash for Kids and a summer-long concert series.

Every weekend Traders Village serves up a state fair-style menu of food and drinks for all ages, kiddie rides and games, ATM machines, stroller and wheelchair rentals, modern restrooms, great bargains friendly bartering and more.

You really gotta see this place! After all, Traders Village is the reason why shopping, festivals and family fun were invented.®

We'll be looking for you this weekend.
