General Dealer Rules of Conduct

  • Open all reserved spaces by 10 a.m. and remain open until 5 p.m. on normal market days. To hold a reservation from week to week you must commit and pay by 6 p.m. each Sunday.
  • Do not drive in the market between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on market days. These hours are based on attendance levels and are subject to change without notice. A 5-mph speed limit prevails unless otherwise marked.
  • Have your current sales space receipt on hand and be prepared to present it upon request at all times.
  • Sweep and remove all trash from your space throughout the day and keep trash bags on hand for excess trash. Boxes and large items should be broken down and stacked neatly next to a trash barrel.
    Your space should be clean before you leave.
  • Always have a 5lb. ABC type fire extinguisher in each enclosed sales space at all times.
  • Do not place electrical cords across walkways, either above or on the ground.
  • Do not conduct games of chance, skill, raffles, lotteries or auctions without written approval.
  • Do not store flammable or hazardous materials inside buildings.
  • Do not occupy the same or additional sales space for additional days without a paid receipt in advance.
  • Vehicles illegally parked after 11:00 a.m. are subject to being booted and may pay a fine for removal.
  • Do not drive carelessly through market. Drivers will be held responsible for damages to buildings and structures.

Dealer Rules for Product Sales

  • Do not sell any food product without a permit from the local Health Department and Traders Village approval.
  • You must receive approval in advance from Traders Village before the sale of any gas powered or electric scooter. A permit is required.
  • You must comply with all Traders Village regulations concerning the care and sale of animals in the market.
  • You must comply with Texas House Bill #749, as it relates to the sale of baby food, drugs and contact lenses.
  • Do not sell or possess firearms or ammunition on Traders Village grounds at any time.
  • Do not sell pornography at Traders Village. All items sold at the market must comply with Traders Village’s strict standards to maintain a wholesome family environment.
  • Do not distribute any political or religious material without the written consent of management.
  • Do not sell, display or distribute any merchandise bearing a counterfeit trademark, or infringe upon copyrights.
  • Do not sell fireworks without a permit from the local fire department and permission from Traders Village.
  • Contact the State Comptroller’s office for information related to State Sales Tax information.
  • Do comply with all Federal, State and Local sales laws while on Traders Village grounds.

**Any violation of these rules may result in the confiscation of the prohibited items and will subject the dealer to losing his sales space and forfeiting his rental fee.

Please Remember…

We reserve the right to evict any vendor or patron.

No rain checks and no refunds.

Sales spaces may not be sublet, assigned, transferred or used for parking or storage.

Merchandise and vehicles that are unattended, unauthorized, and/or abandoned on the property will be disposed of without liability to Traders Village.

Traders Village is not responsible for theft or damage to anything brought onto the premises. Anything left on the property is done so entirely at the individuals own risk.

Traders Village will assign sales space(s) and the dealer must stay within designated space(s).

We reserve the right to establish acceptable sound levels.

We do not accept used tires, produce, produce containers or motorized scooter boxes or containers for disposal.

Signs, storefronts, racks, walls, or other construction may not be constructed without written consent of management.

Rental receipt is dealer’s admittance only. Any other use is prohibited. Occupation of a daily space occurs when a dealer and/or dealer’s vehicle occupies the sales space(s).

With payment of lease space, the dealer agrees to follow the current operation rules which can change without notice.
