Who can rent a space at Traders Village?

Anyone who wants to expose their product, creation, idea, or business to a large number of potential customers without the high overhead costs and expenses associated with most retail spaces can rent a space at Traders Village. So, if you are starting a new business, looking for an outlet to expand an existing business, want to turn your hobby into income, or just looking for a place to have a garage sale, then Traders Village has a space for you.

How can I get a space?

Monday through Thursday:

Reservations for the two-day weekend (Saturday and Sunday) rentals will be taken by telephone only, beginning on Monday from 8:30 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. by calling 281-890-5500. Telephone and counter reservations are accepted by the front office until 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Two-day reservations continue by telephone or at the counter Tuesday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m.

Payment must be made at the time of booking.

Credit and debit card payments are accepted by telephone or at the counter. Reservations to be paid by cash or check must be made in person at the counter.

Friday:

Reservations for one day (Saturday) or two-day (Saturday and Sunday) rentals may be made by telephone only on Friday from 8:30 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. by calling 281-890-5500. Only counter reservations will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. Payment must be made at the time of booking.

Reserve your Saturday rental:

To extend your one day Saturday rental space through Sunday, take your receipt, photo ID and payment to the front office on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. No late payments will be accepted.

To hold a two-day reservable space for the following weekend, take your receipt, photo ID, and payment to the front office on Saturday or Sunday from 7:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. No late payments will be accepted.

What types of spaces are available?

Traders Village spaces can be rented by the day, weekend, or month and include the following types and sizes:

  • Enclosed spaces – spaces that are lockable and completely enclosed with a garage door entrance.

    • These spaces are limited and in high demand.
    • If you are interested in leasing an enclosed space, please contact our leasing department.
    • They are approximately 14’ wide by 20’ deep with a 5’ overhang.
    • The roll-up garage door is 8’ high by 10’ wide.
    • They are leased on a month to month basis.
    • A Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit is required along with a valid photo ID.
    • All of these spaces have electricity.
  • Covered Reserved spaces - spaces that are covered and can be reserved beginning at 8:30 a.m. each Monday morning by calling the main office at 281-890-5500.

    • In order to secure the reservation, payment must be made at the time of booking.
    • Credit card payments will be accepted over the phone from 8:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday.
    • Walk-in reservations will not be accepted until after 10:00 a.m. on Monday and from 8:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. Tuesday – Thursday.
    • Payment in the form of cash or check must be made in person, at the counter, and will be accepted after 10:00 a.m. on Monday and from 8:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. Tuesday – Thursday.
    • All vendors must pick up their receipt to gain access to the market; a valid photo ID, that matches the name under which the sale of the space was made, is required.
    • Most spaces are approximately 14’ wide by 25’ deep.
    • Spaces under the Silver Expo are 10’ wide by 20’ deep
    • A majority of the spaces have electricity.
  • Covered Non-Reserved spaces – spaces that are covered and are obtained for the upcoming weekend use only, from 8:30 a.m. till 10 a.m. each Friday morning by calling the main office at 281-890-5500. After 10:00 a.m., covered non-reservable spaces will be sold by walk-in purchase only until 4:00 p.m. each Friday. Spaces may be obtained for Saturday only, or for Saturday and Sunday.

    • In order to secure the sales space, payment must be made at the time of booking.
    • Payment for spaces in the form of credit, or debit card will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
    • Walk-in purchases will only be accepted after 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
    • Payment in the form of cash or check must be made in person, at the counter, and will be accepted from 10:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
    • All vendors must pick up their receipt to gain access to the market; a valid photo ID, that matches the name under which the sale of the space was made, is required.
    • Most spaces are approximately 14’ wide by 25’ deep.
    • A majority of the spaces have electricity.
  • Enclosed Spaces:

    $279.00 per month
    $334.00 per month (Corner)

  • Covered Reserved Spaces:

    $195 per weekend
    $55.00 per weekend

  • Covered Reserved Spaces:

    $219 per month (Corner)
    $60.00 per week (Corner)

  • Covered Non-Reserved Spaces:

    $24.00 for Saturday
    $30.00 for Sunday

  • Corporate Spaces:

    $195.00 per weekend

Did you miss your opportunity during the week to lease a sales space?

No problem. Good Spaces are always available at Traders Village. Spaces are available for Saturday sellers or for Saturday and Sunday sellers. Spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis beginning at 7:00 a.m. every Saturday morning for Saturday only, or Saturday and Sunday lease. Payment must be made in person at the main office. No phone calls for leasing a space will be accepted during weekend operation.

Sunday only sellers can obtain a space beginning at 7:00 a.m. Sunday morning on a first come, first serve basis. Payment must be made in person at the main office. No phone calls for leasing a space will be accepted during weekend operation.

Vendor Passes and Receipts

Vendor passes and receipts are given to vendors to gain access to the market and allow free parking on weekends; one pass or receipt per vehicle. Passes and receipts are given at the time of sale. (Note: Vendors must keep their pass or receipt with them at all times).

  • Daily and weekly vendors will receive one receipt per space and a maximum of two receipts for multiple spaces.
  • Monthly vendors will receive three passes and one receipt for one vendor space.
  • Monthly vendors with two spaces will receive five passes and one receipt.
  • Monthly vendors that have more than two spaces will receive seven passes and one receipt.

What are the operating hours for the Market?

Vendor gates open every Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 a.m. Closing times vary seasonally.

  • Vendor vehicles are allowed access to the market from 7:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday.
  • A current vendor pass or vendor receipt must be presented for access to the market.
  • All vendor vehicles that are in the market and not placed in their vendor space must be removed prior to 11:00 a.m.
  • Vendor vehicles are allowed to return to the market in the evening depending on the number of people in the market at the time. Evening access to the market varies between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
  • The market gates close nightly at 10:00 p.m. all and vendors and vehicles will be removed prior to closing.

What Can I Sell?

Vendors can sell anything that does not violate county, state or federal laws, or is not on the Traders Village Restricted list. Traders Village does not allow the sale of food or drink products.

Counterfeit Merchandise Warning!

Law Enforcement and Intellectual property owners investigate the sale of counterfeit merchandise at this market. Counterfeiting is criminally and civilly punishable under federal and state law by up to 10 years of imprisonment and $2,000,000.00 in fines. Anyone engaged in the sale of counterfeit products will be evicted from the market and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Do I need a Sales Tax Permit?

Yes, Traders Village keeps all market vendors Sales Tax Permits on file for the State Comptroller’s Office. If you do not have a Sales Tax Permit, please apply for one at the link below and bring your Sales Tax Permit to our office. It’s that easy!

Do you rent tables?

Yes, $8 per table, per day. The tables are 8’ long by 30” wide.

How Do I Get To Traders Village?

Traders Village is located just south of Highway 290 on N. Eldridge Road.

  • Take Highway 290 to the West Road/ N. Eldridge Road exit. Go under the freeway – south on Eldridge Road. Traders Village is 3/10 of a mile down on the right.
  • Take the Katy Freeway (I-10) to N. Eldridge Road (Addicks Fairbanks), go north towards Highway 290 about 8 miles. Traders Village is 3/10 of a mile south of Highway 290 on the left.
