January is going to be hot as a jalapeno at Traders Village as the Cy-Fair Go Texan Subcommittee dishes up two days of barbecue, brisket, and chicken to benefit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Get your award winning cook team and smoke your choices of brisket, chicken, ribs and Chef’s choice. Maybe smoking meat isn’t your thing? We are also bringing back that classic Texas favorite chili contest! Maybe cooking at all isn’t your jam and you want to wow the judges with your mixology skills? There will be a Margarita and Bloody Mary contest on scene too!
And by popular demand; we are bringing back our JR cookers category, the youngest of our smoking gurus can join us that weekend and show us what they are made of by smoking up some chops donated to them by an HMGT Committee member!!
Come on out that weekend and join us for fun, delicious meats, creative beverages, wow your mouth chili and most important of all……raising money for our local high school seniors!
Traders Village is the largest flea market and special events complex on the Gulf Coast with more than 1,500 dealers every weekend. Gates open for shopping at 10 a.m. Cookoff activities begin at 12 noon.
